Downloading Music For Free
(sort of)...

Ok, so you want to start downloading music, but you don't know where to start. I hear this all the time from my friends and family, so I wrote a little report that explains it all (it's not that difficult). And I decided to slap this page up and give this report away to you too.

First you need to become aware of the tools you'll need, then you'll need to figure out how to use these tools, then you have to make sure you are using them properly so you don't get in trouble with the record labels.

It IS 100% legal and you can download as much music as you want.

It is all possible through file sharing programs (or "P2P" programs, which means Peer-To-Peer). File sharing is an amazing and free way to download all the music you could ever ask for. And there are many file sharing programs out there, some good, some bad. They have names like:

Ares
Azureus
Audiogalaxy
Bearshare
Blubster
Freewire
Gnucleus
Limewire
Dietk
Morpheus
Dvdrip
Iswipe
Edonkey
Emule
Winmx
Soulseek
Shareazza
Xolox
Grokster
Imesh
Mediaseek
Neonapster
OneMX
Piolet
Awapper
Trustyfiles

My favorite and the one I personally recommend is Kazaa (who knows how you pronounce the thing...who cares). If you setup Kazaa properly and get the right version of the program (the garbage-free, hard-to-get one) you will LOVE using it daily to get your mp3 files (mp3 files are just songs you click on to play on your computer). When done right, you don’t ever have to worry about the spyware crap, legal confusion, and malicious programs.

Anyway, I'm not going to go on and on here about how to download music. As I said, I put together a free report for you to download that walks you through it (and no, I don't want your email address for the report). Read this pdf report and you'll be downloading music in no time. Right click it and select "Save Target As" to download it to your computer.

P.S. 95% of all computers can open a .pdf file, but if you can't you need the free Adobe Reader from www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html

P.P.S. I say downloading is free, "sort of", only because you need to spend either a great deal of time and aggravation getting setup and learning how it all works, or you need to fork over $30 or so, one time (not monthly like the other ones, and they don't charge per song either) for an MP3 download service. They will hold your hand through the whole thing. It's well worth it for the peace of mind, and you can get as many songs as you want. After the $30, it really is free music. Gotta love it :-)
